Delcy thinks she can trick President Trump the same way she and Maduro tricked and destroyed Venezuela.
But President Trump knows exactly who she is: another member of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves. You don’t deal with him through secret letters while trying to steal territory from a free and sovereign nation like Guyana.
Unlike the Maduro regime, Guyana didn’t rob its people. They managed their oil wealth responsibly, created a sovereign wealth fund, and saw GDP per capita quadruple in just five years.
Delcy should stop threatening Guyana and start learning from it.
I have written to Dr. Terrence Drew, Chairman of CARICOM, formally objecting to the actions of Delcy Rodríguez, who publicly displayed a map during official engagements within CARICOM member states falsely portraying Guyana’s Essequibo region as part of Venezuela.
This year alone, we are hosting 11 major conferences and six major sporting events—opportunities that were not possible just two years ago. With expanded capacity and growing confidence in the sector, we are positioning Guyana as a premier destination for global events.
This is the groundwork we are laying today—building a future where modern roads, efficient public transport and smart planning come together to save time, expand choices and connect every citizen to opportunity.

Good to see continued U.S. support for Guyana. The White House should use its influence in Caracas to urge respect for the International Court of Justice ruling on Essequibo, expected early next year.
I am pleased to have participated in the Shield of the Americas Summit held last weekend by President @realDonaldTrump in Doral, Miami, Florida.
It served as a significant platform for dialogue on strengthening partnerships across the Americas with a shared goal: to build greater cooperation to defend our sovereignty, safeguard our security, and promote economic prosperity throughout the region.
Guyana signed onto the #AmericasCounterCartelJointSecurityDeclaration during the Americas Counter-Cartel Conference hosted by the Secretary of War Pete Hesgeth. It reaffirms Guyana’s intent to strengthen security and defense relationships @SecWar@SecRubio
