OLIVER TAMBO LECTURE | Son of struggle stalwart Oliver Tambo, Dali Tambo, says the challenges facing South Africans today do a disservice to the sacrifices made by his father.
This Sunday on #JazzAndBeyond our guest: Six years after his previous album has a new body of work called #uKholo — faith, it is saxophonist, composer and bandleader @SisonkeXonti
“Come for the jazz and stay for a good time” 🎵❤️🎷

@BraAubrey, informative segment there. One learned about KwaNtu, Ntu, Isintu, Nguni, etc. Prof must come back! 😁
Were you referring to Nephilim in terms of giant people, or something else?
@BraAubrey, you are a philosopher, wena! You can confuse many of us. Deep
Chat there. Maybe give us an example so we can understand your thinking here.
Your comments are deeply disturbing.
President Machel died in South Africa coming from a meeting in Lusaka which concerned itself about the liberation of the oppressed people in South Africa and elsewhere. This is deeply revealing of the type of politics you and your party advance. Peace loving South Africans know that the costs of freedom was borne not only by South Africans, the frontline states like Mozambique also paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
@BraAubrey, I fully agree with your guest. I like the example of competency and driving a Ferrari. What we need to learn is prompt engineering, mainly, which is the art and science of structuring and refining natural language inputs to guide generative AI models and large language models (LLMs) towards accurate, relevant, and useful outputs. Insightful show always! Keep up the excellent work!
@BraAubrey, interesting conversation there. For me, the #KhampepeCommission raises a fundamental question about #leadership in a #democracy.
Please ask Prof.: Can a political leader claim that a decision was the responsibility of independent institutions if those institutions operated under the government that the leader headed?

A case that ultimately revolved around a software button, its labelling, and the act of clicking it.
The button in question? “Submit As Final.”
What an interesting case study in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX) design, and usability engineering!
The proceedings went on and on, with arguments centred on how a button in the system was supposed to function. We heard claims that “You did not press the final button,” while lawyers debated the system’s design, functionality, and the implications of interacting with it.
But this raises some fundamental questions about software design:
1. Should this button exist in its current form?
2. Is the label “Submit As Final” sufficiently clear and intuitive?
3. Should a system rely on users understanding the distinction between submitting and submitting as final?
4. What responsibility does the system designer have to prevent user error?
5. How should this IEC “innovative” system be designed to ensure usability, clarity, and an unambiguous user experience?
When the design and functionality of a button become central to a legal dispute, perhaps the bigger question is whether the system was designed with the user in mind.
After all, good interface design should not merely provide functionality; it should make that functionality clear, predictable, and difficult to misuse.

Thank you my dear brother President @CyrilRamaphosa for your warm congratulations and offer of support. We look forward to working with you and all who share this vision as we make this a truly African Grand Prix in every way possible, and take motorsport to new heights on our continent.
@nothembaujx pha ku #JazzAndBeyond is doing wonders. She throws this item. I had to quickly look it up. It is a #Jazz night school! Never miss out: 17:00 to 19:00 every Sunday.

@BraAubrey#MyGoodness
Old pirates, yes, they rob I
Sold I to the merchant ships
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit
But my hand was made strong
By the hand of the Almighty
We forward in this generation
Triumphantly
Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
'Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none of them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look? Ooh
Some say it's just a part of it
We've got to fulfill the Book
Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom?
'Cause all I ever have
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Redemption songs
Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Wo! Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none of them-a can-a stop-a the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look?
Yes, some say it's just a part of it
We've got to fulfill the book
Won't you have to sing
These songs of freedom?
'Cause all I ever had
Redemption songs
All I ever had
Redemption songs
These songs of freedom
Songs of freedom

“Managing is simply getting things done through others. Leading, on the other hand, inspires followership. And then, just when you think you know it all, you learn the nuances and sensitivities between leading other people and being a leader of leaders, which is the pinnacle of leadership” - Bonang Mohale [Lift As You Rise]
