As we celebrate this Easter season—a time of renewal, hope, and new beginnings—we are reminded of the power of transformation in our lives.
May this season inspire renewed courage to build a world free from violence, manipulation, and marginalization.
Women aren’t just part of food systems they lead them.
Yet too often, they’re left out of leadership spaces. We are changing that narrative.

WODEF strongly believes in transformation inspired by collective power. Together with our women networks, supporters, government and communities, we continue to build hope, dignity, and opportunities for all.
Adapting violence against women (VAW) prevention programmes across different contexts
is central to prevention work.
But we rarely see how those adaptations actually unfold in practice.
‘Adaptation Journeys’ is an open-access resource bringing together real cases of VAW prevention adaptations — practical, interactive, and grounded in real world decisions.

Hidden in silence, but still happening.
In the South-West belt of Kenya, cases of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) continue behind closed doors, disguised as culture, protected by fear, and sustained by secrecy putting girls at risk.
#EndFGM#ProtectTheGirlChild ##HumanRights
Implementing evidence-based girl mentorship programs from an early age presents a promising avenue to eradicate female genital mutilation (FGM) in Kisii and neighboring Nyanza Communities.
“Understanding and treating women’s rights as human rights is a fundamental step to achieving gender equality. Women have a greater potential to catalyze local economies if empowered.”
FGM is still happening. Over 230 million women and girls have been affected, with 4 million at risk every year. Silence is complicity—let’s protect our girls! ✋
