I am a magnet for wealth and abundance flows to me effortlessly from multiple streams. Every door I need open is already open. Favor follows me wherever I go. My cup overflows. There is more than enough for me and everyone connected to me.
I affirm.
Being a Nigeria doesn't make gele yours. You have to be a Yoruba woman to be able to claim it and call out cultural appropriation.
Besides the lady in question is a Yoruba woman, wearing gele to a party shouldn't be a business of yours, since you are not Yoruba lady.
Masterminds of terrorism should not be getting 25 years jail time. They should be getting life imprisonment. Our laws need to be updated to fit and work for the current realities.
Three major observations. One: of a people trully proud of their heritage and reflecting a legacy of the ancient in the present.
Two: they are not claiming to own Lagos despite the fact that they have highly successful businesses in Lagos.
Three: Perhaps the Yoruba can learn one or two lessons here. Connect your success and progress with yourself, identities, histories and ancestors. Nobody is prioritising Nigeria over their respective regions/identities, except for the Yoruba (elites).
A quote from the Emir:
“It is not surprising that the two richest Africans we have are from Kano — Aliko Dangote and Abdulsamad Rabiu,” Sanusi said.
“I am informed that Lagos is trying to claim that it produced them. We are happy that people are claiming our sons, but just for clarity and for the record, Kano produced them.”
What do you think?
You will never see them using an example of another tribe person becoming a Governor in their own States, it’s always the other way round and Lagos most especially.
This is what the law says but ask him, which State in Nigeria is practicing anything remotely close to this except Lagos? Ask him, does his home state practice anything related to what he has said? Why is it always LAGOS, LAGOS, LAGOS even though Lagos is the State that appoint others the most?
The most beautiful part in all of this is that, people who think like you and act like you, can never be politically relevant in Yorubaland politics.
You will continue to utter profanities like this till eternity and wallow in your bitterness.
