@vapertvaping Interacting with these people, reading what they say, hell even knowing they exist debases you and makes you less of a human being. Please ignore them and move on if nothing else to make it less likely they pollute my feed.

@iroraiii You. You said factoids go hand in hand with relatability. Ergo if you didn't know Naruto's birthday you'd find him less relatable and therefore the story would be diminished.
I guess further discussion is pointless because you don't even know what you're saying.
@iroraiii The idea that Naruto, for example, would be diminished as a story in your mind if you could not verify Naruto's birthday is frankly ridiculous. It's a completely fucked up way to think.
@iroraiii Very little media is explicit about birth dates. You can enjoy lots of things without that information. Their lack of importance is cemented by the fact they so often have to be made up to placate people in tweets and interviews, but are not part of the story itself.
@iroraiii@denimneverdies Overwhelmingly we do not know or care about the birthdays of fictional characters and it doesn't impact how relatable they are.
Honestly I'd argue the Japanese focus on giving everyone a birthdate is more about marketing than anything.
@JusaStargazer@denimneverdies I don't get this logic. These fandom people are annoying and they watch these shows. If this guy wants to his position to tell these people to be less annoying it's for the common good.
