In Year 1, we've been enjoying our measurement unit. Today we've been measuring in cm and have been using our filters to measure objects around the classroom. ππΌ
As part of our Water Music unit, year 4 are creating a piece of music that represents each stage of the water cycle. This week our focus was precipitation.
In Year 1 DT, we have started our textiles: puppet making unit of learning. Today we practised different methods of joining fabric together and evaluating the pros and cons of each method. We tried using staplers, glue and paperclips. We had a lot of fun whilst being careful. ππΌ
As part of our Dreams and Goals PSHE lessons, 4SS were set the goal of creating the funniest potato person. We had to give our potato person a name, job and describe their personality. How do you think we did?
In Year 1 we've been practising our very own superhero theme tune. We came up with the pattern of the notes we wanted and then added on our superhero phrase. I think we've got a really catchy one here! π¦ΈπΌββοΈπ

Year 4 have enjoyed making 'Shadow Sculptures' during our art lesson this afternoon. We used our school values and words that we thought described our class to inspire our sculptures.

4SS continued looking at songs relating to water yesterday in our music lesson. We focussed on singing in a round and used this to sing one of our favourite nursery rhymes.
Year 1 have been inspired by the artist Jasper Johns. We have used primary and secondary colours to recreate his numbers painting. I think we all did a fantastic job! π

4SS started making their pavilions yesterday during our DT lesson. We showed great perseverance to ensure our structures were stable and we can't wait to add the cladding next week.
Year 1 have been using number lines to help us subtract. We now know that we start with our whole number now number lines and then we take away by jumping backwards. πΈ
Year 4 have enjoyed their first computing lesson of our new topic 'Animation'. We made our own flick book and then used Purple Mash to create a simple animation.
