@MarvelEquest As long as your hay is balanced and provides enough nutrients/calories it’s totally fine!! The majority of mine are on alfalfa/grass hay only, with mineral blocks or lick buckets provided.

I think I’ve definitely done dumber things, but taking my green cowhorse to the NRCHA Hackamore Classic when I’ve only shown him down the fence 3 times and NEVER shown him in the herdwork is higher up on the list than I’d like to admit. It’s also my very first NRCHA show, yolo ✌🏼
