Year 5 took part in another Practical Action project โSquashed Tomato Challenge.โ How could farmers in mountain villages in Nepal move their crops safely down the mountainside to market?
Year 5 used slo-mo filming on their iPads to determine which shapes fall fastest through water. Lots of excitement! An investigation best done outsideโฆ
Year 6 studied natural selection by looking at the case study of the Peppered Moth. They used computer simulations to graph what happens to different coloured moth populations in clean and polluted forests.
Year 4 continued their work on food chains by looking a little closer at a barn owlโs diet and dissecting owl pellets. The consensus seemed to be that this was the best lesson this year! Thanks to theJersey Barn Owl Trust for their support.
Year 3 harvested their potatoes for the Genuine Jersey Royal potato competition. 3F had the most tubers and 3M the greatest mass at 900g! The potatoes have been donated to The Shelter Trust, Jersey. #JerseyVcp
