Our exceptional Amentum-led Washington River Protection Solutions team is responsible for reducing the environmental hazards posed by over 55 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste that remains on the site! #WeAreAmentum#SocialMediaTakeover#EnvironmentalSolutions
Take a moment to admire this breathtaking photo of the tank farms at the Hanford Site!
Did you know that this expansive 586 sq mile area was established in 1943 as part of the Manhattan Project, producing plutonium for nuclear weapons during World War II and the Cold War?
We were happy to support @SafeHarborWA at its Beggars Banquet recently. Congrats on raising more nearly $200,000 to help our area’s kids and teens escape abuse and neglect.
It's a new month, which means a new topic for Healthy & Mission Ready! This November, we're learning more about conflict management from WRPS Employee concerns Program Manager Lois Kauer.

Creativity was on full display when Employees on the 2nd floor of 2435 Stevens Center Pl. decorated pumpkins. Cynthia Milton’s Plant Eater Pumpkin was named the winner! The pumpkins then were donated to a senior living community in Kennewick, just in time for Halloween.
Orb spiders’ spooky aesthetic makes them a perfect star of the Halloween season. You’ll find them on the Hanford Site and even in your own backyard, but they are not harmful to humans and actually feed on many pests, making them a wonderful addition to your landscaping or garden.
Still thinking about last Friday’s WRPS Hockey Night with the Tri-City Americans. Nearly 1800 WRPS employees helped pack Kennewick’s Toyota Center for the game. Our President & Project Manager, Wes Bryan, gave some opening remarks & WRPS staff participated in various activities!
Thank you to those who laced up to run, and to the WRPS staff who volunteered during our Community 5k Fun Run & Walk on Saturday! Registration fees directly supported United Way of Benton & Franklin Counties.

Equipment for a future tank waste treatment demonstration project was moved for updates. We worked with Teamsters to move equipment from the 400 Area of the Hanford Site to a company in Richland that will oversee the changes.
Lace ‘em up and come run or walk for a cause with us at Howard Amon Park this Saturday, Oct. 14! All registration proceeds from this WRPS community run event will directly support United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties! Sign up at https://t.co/JdfA8Txe5l.
Oct. 4 is Energy Efficiency Day! We practice energy efficiency by replacing fluorescent indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures with longer-lasting LEDs. The new fixtures provide a brighter light and reduce energy use by about one-third.
