We encourage & support data driven decision making for our Region. We run polls on local issues & transparently share the resultant aggregate data.

~1 in 5 (~20%) people in Kitchener voted (vs. 29% & 28% in 2014 & 2018 respectively) in the recent municipal election. We mapped voter turnout by ward to better understand turnout dynamics. Thanks to clerk office @CityKitchener for sharing data so we could make these maps!

Note: In Oct, the Ontario Gov tabled Bill 23 (More Homes Built Faster) which may result in our ROP being overridden or modified. The ROP targeted 121,000 new homes in ~28 years (by 2051). Bill 23 requests the Region to plan to add 70,000 new homes in ~8 years (by 2031)

- Awareness & uptake in plan public engagement
