No UDFA or mini camp invite yet.. walk on running back to all conference receiver. 107 catches 1400 yards , 3000 career all purpose yards. Been overlooked my whole life.
Jeremiah 29:11 Gods timing 🙏🏻
This Out & Up by my fellow #MACtion receiver @TheCDavis84 is 🔥

🔑 Keys to a great double move:
▪️RHYTHM & TIMING
Too fast = DB won’t have time to over-commit to 1st move.
Too slow = DB will quickly recover.
-
Don’t rush, but don’t completely shut it off. “Dim the light” 🧵⬇️
INSIDE or OUTSIDE release? 🔀
-
Why not both? Don’t get stuck forcing a release that simply isn’t there. Move the defender by moving yourself. Be patient. Take what the defender gives you.
-
Great examples of a “SLIDE” release on a Go Route.
In or out can both work.
Where does @terrellowens go on your list of best wide receivers ever? 🐐
-
One of the best to ever do it and doesn’t get nearly the same hype as Moss & Rice.
-
NFL Career Stats
15 Seasons - 219 Games
1,078 Receptions
15,934 Yards
153 Touchdowns
You don’t have time to make TikToks at the line of scrimmage
-
All the fancy release drills look cool.. but you have to GO. You will not win every single release and every single route. But just because you are covered does not mean the pass will be defended.
-
MAKE A PLAY
3 STEP BREAK
-
All about the angles!!
Great athletes are able to handle forces at high speeds and change direction on a dime.
-
⚔️ ATTACK with speed
⬇️ LOW Pad Level
✅ 1st Break Step = DECEL
✅ 2nd Break Step = GATHER
✅ 3rd Break Step = FINISH
Is @JerryRice the greatest wide receiver to ever play the game?

College Stats @MVSUDevilSports
4 Seasons - 40 Games

4,693 Yards

SAME STEM - DIFFERENT ROUTE
-
@jkbmyrs5 sets up his “Angle” Route with a “Deep Cross.”
-
Jakobi does a great job of being patient. This concept is built off of play action & max pass pro which allows Meyers to add a “skip stall” and take more time to sell the Over route ⬇️
SAME STEM ♻️ DIFFERENT ROUTE
-
Jaylen Waddle running CORNER with inside stem… follows it up on the same drive with same stem into a CORNER-POST.
-
Understanding the importance & value of “concepts” in the offense will make you a better route runner.
@D1__JW@WR_Acad
How to run a “GLANCE”
-
Before Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, Andy Reid was dialing it up with Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson.
-
Glance, Skinny, Bang 8, Bang Post, whatever you want to call it! This route concept is all about suddenness, fluidity, timing, and precision.
SAVVY SEPARATION
-
Adding subtle nuances to your route can help create separation.
@JJettas2 adds a tempo “delay” to his break on this Out Route to win in the red zone. This requires great timing with the quarterback and the ability to stop and restart quickly.
POST
@JahanDotson
-
Push to the defenders leverage, keep speed and keep stride in rhythm! Jahan uses a 2-step jab at the break point using his HEAD & SHOULDERS to sell the fakes (Right jab, Left jab). Dotson stays skinny to avoid collision with the middle safety help.
Don’t show your cards too early!
Love how DeVonta stays on his stem down the hash and pushes to his FULL DEPTH of 15 yards before he breaks to the post. (5th outside if you count steps). ⬇️
