At the 2012 DNC, I was fortunate to be in the room when then-California AG Kamala Harris gave an electrifying speech that resonates with me to this day. That, and her extraordinary service and experience as a district attorney, US Senator, and chief legal officer of the largest state in the nation, led me to meet with her campaign as a show of support for her 2020 presidential bid.

During the 12 years of GOP executives before me they destroyed the county's finances, oversaw a declining population and the unemployment rate was sky high.

It’s ironic that Gary Dickson comments about “political decline” when his wife and town Republican Chairwoman shamefully deleted her unhinged Twitter account.

And he shouldn’t preach about “toxic political culture,” especially when he’s handed out raises for his assistant and patronage hires at every level, from the Town Attorney’s office to even the town’s insurance broker.
