The team is getting back in the swing of things! ⚾️
The West Side Sluggers are back for year two and off to a strong start. Undefeated to open the season, but more than anything, it just feels good to be back on the field together.

Thank you @marklevineNYC for your continued support. W 108th St Phase II builds on a proven model, replacing a garage with 84 affordable homes for older adults and strengthening a block that is already thriving.
We're proud to be part of what comes next.
W. 108th St between Columbus & Amsterdam Ave used to be home to several old parking garages for 500+ cars.
When a plan emerged in 2018 to knock down two garages to build affordable housing there was bitter opposition, with claims that the area would be less safe and that there’d be a parking nightmare in the neighborhood.
In the years since the project opened in 2022 none of those fears proved true. The block is safer and more beautiful than ever. And most importantly it now includes 240 deeply affordable homes.
It’s been so successful than now the third and final garage on the block is going to be knocked down for an add’l building with another 84 units.
There is a lesson here. From congestion pricing to installing a Citi bike dock to building affordable housing, local projects that are opposed when they are proposed almost always win support once they are up and running. Let’s remember that for the next fight.
When we build for New Yorkers, communities thrive 🏙️ Comptroller Mark Levine stopped by the Upper West Side to see affordable housing in action and what’s still to come. This is what it looks like when we do the hard work: more housing, stronger infrastructure, and real investments that make life better for New Yorkers.

For our Mets fans, unforgettable. For all of us, a reminder of the power of community.

Last Friday, we broke ground on WSFSSH at West 108th St Phase II bringing 84 affordable homes for older adults to the Upper West Side.
Hearing from a Phase I resident was a powerful reminder of what stable housing makes possible.
Proud to build what comes next.
Great to join @WSFSSH this morning to celebrate the groundbreaking of W 108th St phase 2! This was a tough land use fight when it was first proposed, and I’m excited to see how far it’s come.
WSFSSH staff joined volunteers across New York City for the annual HOPE Count, helping document homelessness across the five boroughs.
The data collected helps guide policy, services, and funding nationwide. Proud of our team and grateful to all who participated. #HOPECount
WSFSSH is proud to stand alongside advocates across NY in support of the Housing Access Voucher Program (HAVP). Expanding HAVP to $250M could help stabilize 10,000 households statewide and ensure families pay no more than 30% of their income toward rent.

Wednesday was a marathon day of advocacy for Resident Assistance in affordable senior housing for LeadingAge NY, @liveonny, @WSFSSH, & @SelfhelpNY! TY @LindaBRosenthal, @SenatorCCleare, & more for speaking with us about this key program to help older NYers age safely in place.
Nothing like a fresh cut to lift your day. Euclid Hall residents came together for a Shape Ups & Trims event led by staff Michael and Jerry, turning a haircut into a moment of confidence and connection.
