We were able to launch our school counseling program many years ago thanks to partnership with the local chapter of @NatlChristChild . The DC chapter supported this program until we had the capacity to have a full-time counselor as part of our staff.
We were so blessed to have a full-time school counselor throughout the pandemic (recommended ratio is 250 students per counselor, we have 1/2 that # enrolled). Not sure how we would have made it through without her expertise and support of students and families!

Since @BethbReaves joined as WSG President over 5 years ago, we've had the joy of getting to know her as a leader and a person. This episode opens the door for everyone to do the same! Available wherever you get your podcasts.
A few highlights: reflections on her transition from the corporate world to non-profit leadership and the education space, how to effectively join a community as a new leader, and using a #growthmindset throughout.
