It’s going to be a very Merry Christmas for 6 Gaston College students who needed laptop computers to complete their on-line classes WSGE’s Tim Greene gifted the laptops to the students. Angelia Skidmore supplied the State-Of-The-Art Headsets. Tim also added V-Tech Gaming Chairs.

We had a great time at the Christmas party that The Greens of Gastonia had for their residents on Thursday, Dec. 24. Socks for Seniors were delivered for the event by station staff, Tim Green, Cathis Hall and Joe Mayes (pictured left) ,Santa, Lucy Lanier and Jessica Miller.

@WSGERadio We are grateful to everyone who donated to Socks for Seniors this year. It was a tremendous success. We had enough donations to provide assistance to three area nursing homes. Some were given to Santa and his helpers to distribute to residents of Courtland Terrace.

David Dodd hand delivered our Beach Music Station of the Year Award for 2023 to the college. This award was presented to WSGE by CBMA for the 7th time, which is a wonderful honor! Check out David's fantastic beach music show the second Sunday of each month from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

WSGE morning personality Mike Garrett was on hand recently at the Lincoln County YMCA with NCWorks NextGen Programs. NextGen Programs are for eligible youth between the ages of 16 – 24 and staff members learn participants how to set and accomplish goals.
