I think Alvarado is gonna have to play non-Brunson minutes this series, because McBride/Bridges are not going to be able to get the Knicks into sets against this defense
I think this series is very hard to project because both teams have been very hard to project all year, whether it’s been the Knicks running hot and cold or the Spurs overcoming youth/inexperience.
I have predicted Knicks in 6 for every series and I won’t stop now:
KNICKS IN 6
is dylan harper upside overblown. whats to say hes not more like jimmy butler/jalen williams than like harden/sga that most ppl are making him out to be
Aside from the obvious fan favorites who were actually good (Jamal Crawford, David Lee, Nate Robinson, Langston Galloway, etc.) my deep cuts:
Clarence Weatherspoon, Renaldo Balkman, Frank Ntilikina, Noah Vonleh
While we have a minute Knicks fans, what player(s) from the dark years did you hold an irrational soft spot for despite the fact that the team was bad and they might not have been very good either?
Mine are Jared Jeffries, Lance Thomas & Kadeem Allen. Honorable mention KOQ.
I know this is extremely dorky of me, but I keep thinking about how members of this Knicks team/era will be greeted by MSG crowds when they pull up to Knicks games in 15-20 years. You see the reactions for ‘90s Knicks now. These guys will all be legends. Chills.
Mikal Bridges, who did not initiate one ounce of contact all regular season, is diving into people for halfcourt steals up 27 with a 3-0 lead in the ECF
3 reasons this is stupid:
1. You don’t control who you play
2. In two of these years (MIA ‘23 and IND ‘25) the lower seed went to the Finals (and IND almost won)
3. The Knicks have been a top-three seed each of the last three years, so limited chances to play a top 3 seed
Good morning:
Fun fact I came across this morning…
The Knicks have played 10 playoff series in the Jalen Brunson era. The Knicks have faced a top-3 seed in the East just 1/10 series.
2023: CLE (4), MIA (8)
2024: PHI (7), IND (6)
2025: DET (6), BOS (2), IND (4)
2026: ATL (6), PHI (7), CLE (4)
The basketball gods really want a Knicks title.
