The auto sector has to stop the crying. Ontario and Canada have provided huge subsidies to EV manufacturers and they are still cancelling and pulling out production.
Now they are going crazy over the reduction in tariffs on a highly controlled # of foreign EV's,
who are by the way, better designed and manufactured, at a cheaper price.
Thee foregone tariff protection/revenue on 49,000 EVs at 6.1% is small compared with the value of canola and related exports regained, so the quantitative cost–benefit tilts strongly toward agriculture and
