Our brilliant Clinical Skills and Blood Transfusion staff have teamed up to create our 1st ever blood transfusion roadshow to educate staff on the correct way to label blood samples. These will be hands-on events to practice your new skills on real-life labelling equipment.
Clinical staff! We appreciate all that you do for our patients, and we'd love to help with your development. We will be visiting clinical areas over the coming days with a small token of our appreciation and some information about how we can support you to achieve competence.
This week you might have seen our team out and about showcasing some of our training as part of the Save the Vein campaign with the IV and OPAT teams. We will be working on delivering more of these events soon so please keep a look out!
We have been running Chest Auscultation for our registered nurses today with the help of SAM, our Student Auscultation Mannequin! If you'd like to come and meet SAM and learn some new skills our next session will be held on 17/11/23. Places can be booked via ESR under 408%Chest
As promised we have a new course open for bookings! ECG Recognition (Interpretation) is for staff who already record ECGs and would like to learn how to interpret findings.
The first session will be held on 15th November from 1pm-4pm in Clinical Skills and is bookable via ESR.

We had an excellent turn out for the ANTT drop in sessions at APH today! These sessions are an easy way to maintain compliance by simulating procedures. We will be announcing further dates for APH/Clatterbridge shortly so please keep an eye on our page!
We will be providing a full day drop-in for clinical staff who are outstanding with their ANTT annual competency assessments on Friday 14th July, 08.00hrs-16.30hrs. The venue is Clinical Skills Centre, APH. The sessions will cover the 3 tiers of ANTT.
