Please join me for tomorrow's campaign event from 4 to 5:30 pm at the Stone Room at Wheeling Park. It's open to the public & we'll have music, refreshments, special guests, and a discussion of issues that matter to West Virginians. #Ihlenfeld2018#WestVirginiaFirst
At the end of the day, win, lose, or draw, this is a win for West Virginia. This is real proud moment for West Virginia and both of these great programs. #WV
One of the biggest things was making sure as many people in the community stayed on your side as possible..if people turn against teachers thinking it’s “wrong”, things could get ugly. For the most part, our state backed us up the entire time!
Also, “Ditch Mitch” was a chant done quite often since [Mitch Carmichael] was, according to almost everyone, the main reason this took as long as it did!
@iremingtonhiles It is up to the State Superintendent...Governor Justice has already asked him to work with County Supers...call the Department of Ed number if anything
@iremingtonhiles Whose number is that? Justice already announced asking the State Superintendent to work with county ones to get the time in and try not to extend too long.
Congratulations WVirginia teachers! Victory! Service, State Police, State Employees also. Good work State Senator Richard Ojeda et al. Teachers need to be paid. Students need to be protected. @WV55United @Ojeda4congress @coach_farrar#55United#NeverAgain#MarchForOurLives
All of West Virginia’s state employees have shown the rest of the nation how to properly practice the #1st First Amendement...no shootings, other violence, arrests, or property damage was made... #united#makeadifference#55united#55strong
Today's agreement was a victory for all public employees. Teachers & school service personnel fought hard and remained united when some in Charleston tried to divide them. This movement, unlike anything we've ever seen in WV, isn't over. Instead, it's only just begun. #55strong
