There are now over 25,000 applications started for the Hope Scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The application deadline for new students to receive full funding for the Hope Scholarship for the upcoming academic year is Monday, June 15.

Over the weekend, Director of the Jumpstart Savings Program, Annie Norrod attended the Cameron Lawrence Send It Foundation event. This event helps raise money for the foundation which supports our Office's Jumpstart Savings Program with donations to further technical education. Over $5,000 was donated this year to support the program!

TRUMP ACCOUNTS NOW AVAILABLE!

Under the One Big Beautiful Bill, parents will be able to establish a “Trump Account” for their child beginning on July 4, 2026. For every eligible American child born after January 1, 2025, through December 31, 2028, the federal government will make an initial deposit of $1,000 into each Trump Account. Treasurer Pack called for a suspension of the state gas tax to offset increasing gas prices due to the conflict in Iran. If a suspension of the state gas tax was considered, Treasurer Pack would ask the Legislature and Governor to reimburse any lost road dollars out of general revenue surplus.

On this National 529 Day, State Treasurer Larry Pack presented a $10,000 check to the 2026 SMART529 "Fund the Future" Sweepstakes winner Ellie Ryba, a 9th grade student at University High School in Morgantown.

The check was presented to Ellie at her family's business Fat Angelo's Pizza in Westover.

State Treasurer Larry Pack today announced Apple Pay and Google Pay are now accepted payment methods under the Banking Services Merchant Services Division. The Division also accepts credit cards and other forms of electronic commerce payments for spending units and political subdivisions.
