Bucket tower challenge!
Teacher builds tower, reveal for 45 seconds then cover it back up and students begin. Great for teamwork, memory and excitement!
Thanks @StevenHillMAS and @MrCondranHPE for this awesome game! Grades 1-5 working on teamwork with Noodle Walk. 1 person on noodles while the rest of the group brings one noodle from the back to the front and returns to their starting cone. Once you reach the end cone, switch.
5v5 kickball leadup games: Stage 1-kick and score runs for your team touching as many spots as you can before the fielding team throws and catches to each member and tags home plate and yells stop. Stage 2-normal 3 base diamond and the runner has to make it home to score a run.
@JRhonemus@OPENPhysEd It doesnβt happen often but who ever has their hand on the bottom wins. If they are side by side itβs a draw and no one gets a point π
3-5 Push-up beanbag grab from @OPENPhysEd hold position during music, try and grab beanbag before your partner when music stops. Fun way to work on muscular strength and endurance during fitness testing.
@PhysEdDynasty@JRhonemus My bad @JRhonemus I thought you were referring to the other striking activity. Sometimes we count sometimes the teacher just sees who has the least. Winners can also be determined if 1 side stops first (good way to check for listening skills too)
K-2 Clean your room game but with striking! Toss the ball to yourself and strike with your hand. Excellent hand eye coordination practice! Students really enjoyed this challenging version.
@JRhonemus 50+ K-2 students at once. Only way I could keep them safe in a small area and have multiple students go at once, especially indoors. They love it and can swing as hard as they want! Plus no one gets hurt if the noodle hits them, including teachers π
K-2 striking with noodle bat. 1 whistle blow= batter up and get ready, 2 whistle blows =swing and hit. Whistle commands really help with safety especially if you have large classes
@JRhonemus It was day 2. Day 1 was volleying and then striking by self. However, the students did excellent with striking with the hoops and partners so you could do that the first day. They were very engaged and focused on the skills that it wouldβve worked day 1.
