Congratulations to our Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month for February and March!
February: Cayley Symons and Chase Harsh
March: Sydney Workman and Charles Spratley III
Thank you for all the hard work, let’s finish this year out strong!
New year, new semester, new Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month!
January’s athletes are Courtney Wilfong and Nick Gerosa!
They both show up day in and day out, always ready to put in work and get better. Keep working hard and setting a good example!
Christmas came early for the Bobcats! Brand new hex bars, vertical jump mats, kettlebells, and bands all ready to be used starting next semester!💪🏼
Happy holidays and enjoy the break!
Today is the last day the weight room will be open for the fall semester! Hours are 9AM - 4PM, relieve some stress between finals and get the 25 days of Liftmas workout in. Ugly Christmas sweaters are encouraged!🎅🏼 🎄
Congratulations to our November Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month: Aidan Glackin and Madison Salinas!
Aidan is always first in for lifts and working hard everyday. Madison maxed her back squat at 315 lbs as a freshman! 👀 Congrats guys! Keep working hard!
Reminder athletes: the weight room hours for this week are Monday - Friday 9AM - 4PM. No need to schedule time slots, just stop in when you’re free if you want to get some finals week workouts in!
Huge shoutout to @WVWCBaseball for raising $1798 through their bingo board fundraiser! This money will go directly to improvements in equipment in the weight room for all sports. Be on the lookout for upgrades soon! 👀
This week we will be running a fundraiser to help make some upgrades to our weight room equipment. If you would like to donate, get in contact with a member of the @WVWCBaseball team and help them fill out their donation bingo board!
Another month comes to an end which means another pair of Wesleyan Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month!
Devin Johnson and Hannah Hudson both give great effort in their training and always go the extra mile helping others around them. Congrats!
Getting better does not care about how you’re feeling, it doesn’t care about wins and losses, all that matters is consistency.
Do you continually show up, work hard, and trust in the process? Will you allow yourself to get better?
Congratulations to our inaugural Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Month for September 2022: Abby Bowe and Renard Matthews!
Both show up to every workout ready to attack the day and always exemplify the traits we look for in Wesleyan S&C
Due to the delayed opening of campus tomorrow, there will be no training groups until after campus opens at 10AM. After 10AM groups will run as normally scheduled.
The weight room will have open hours for those that want to get extra, voluntary work in this coming Friday (1/14) from 6 - 10AM.
After 10AM it will be closed the rest of the weekend. You will need to utilize the wellness center if you are looking for extra work.
New month means new word!
Self-Discipline: are you a motivated athlete or a disciplined one? Can you stick to your routines and give great effort even when motivation isn’t there?
Each day is an opportunity to work on building great habits and practicing self-discipline!
💣When you’re goal is weight gain you’re going to have to eat when you’re not hungry.
‼️Gaining lean mass versus 🆚 fat mass is likely your goal right? So don’t just “eat trash 🗑 foods” and expect to gain lean mass.
Garbage in = garbage out
