@DannyAbriano Because he’s almost past his prime? It’s not that hard to understand. I wouldn’t trade him unless the haul was unreal and they took the full $$, but pretending like you can’t even fathom why they would possibly do it is insane lol. Look at how SS his age regress historically
@Bronx_Zoolander@DHRonESPN@DonLagreca No he doesn’t lol. He didn’t like playing second fiddle to Judge. And he clearly likes playing with the young kids in NY. Talking regrets after year two when both teams will have the same number of WS appearances (0) in that time frame is crazy.
@RSAdiamondtales Cuz he doesn’t throw hard? We’ve always known this. His whole profile is spotting pitches and getting guys out in contact. Never going to light up the savant page and was never expected to.
@Jolly_Olive Bo will likely finish the season with the best batting average and most RBIs on the team. Looks pretty good at third too. Took a while to adjust to NY but I’m glad to have him moving forward, overpay or not.
@nicholashaddad@Miggysbat Don’t even need to overthink it like that. It’s a simple numbers game with probability and future value. I can’t imagine the tigers front office is stupid enough to do what the Angels did with Ohtani.
@Miggysbat@nicholashaddad You’re not making the point that you think you are lol. They should absolutely trade him. This is the mindset of last year’s season, not his walk year.
@Jomboy_ Seems like they informed the Yankees before the game though and told them this would be called? If that’s true, it stands to reason he should probably follow it even if it’s not an official change yet. So they just ignored the people who make the rules?
