@AnthonyClose Add the new $6/hr for parking, & a toll if you drove the Bayway, or other ride share costs. You can bike/walk if u live close. It's really getting costly for the "day trippers" and "local guests/regulars." We'll see how bad it hurts during the off season coming up w/o tourists.
Reminder: Municipal Election Day is on Tuesday (3/10)! 🇺🇸☀️
If you live in Belleair Bluffs, Gulfport, Indian Rocks, Indian Shores, Kenneth City, Madeira, Redington Shores, Safety Harbor, St. Pete Beach, Tarpon, or Treasure Island, make a plan to vote.

Great article @TB_Times
A lot of work went into this series. Hopefully some of the people in power step up and focus on improvements.

@TaylorYarkosky@LtGovJayCollins@FLHSMV@DEAHQ That's great to say, but residents are voting up & down the barrier islands to make things less desirable for tourists, stopping redevelopment, & pushing people out. So, is it really open for business? The state has to regain control of its greatest assets; the beaches & tourism
@AnthonyClose Same 🤡 trying to stop redevelopment, Petrila/Robinson. Chlorides/salt content spiked closer to 20/21 when SPB was affected by hurricanes. This is from submerged lift stations, open cleanouts, etc during flooding/storm surge. It's an annual average. 🤦♂️
@MattFaustini Yeah... I have completely changed my mind on TI over the past week(s). The attorney has been outrageous and ignorant online, I see the meetings going sideways, and dysfunction similar to St. Pete Beach. I had higher hopes that have since dwindled. 👎
@AnthonyClose Otherwise, Pass-a-grille is getting cut off. The reason they needed FreeBee was b/c they didn't want buses in PAG. St. Pete Beach is really making life hard for their workforce. There's very few affordable rentals anywhere on St. Pete Beach now.
@AnthonyClose They may want to stop pushing non-residents away if they want to increase rates to have non-residents fill revenue gaps. Currently, most restaurants & businesses I've talked to are "slower than normal" for this time of year. The city has been very uninviting
BILL BURR: “There’s nothing wrong with being a billionaire, but if someone’s working 40 hours/week and can’t make rent you’re not paying them enough… maybe you should just be worth $900 Million. How do you take an 8 figure bonus and none of your employees have dental insurance?”
@ComChrisLatvala Pinellas County is 95% awesome too. I know SPB isn't your district, but I like your take on these issues. I also like Kathleen, and know she is very familiar with what's going on. Hopefully we can turn things around there.
