Wake Forest makes it official. Dave Clawson has resigned.

In a statement Clawson says " Coaching at Wake Forest has been the horo of my career..."

Clawson will stay on as a special advisor to AD John Currie.

Can confirm, Wake Forest head football coach Dave Clawson is stepping down.

Clawson led Wake Forest seven consecutive bowl games.

At the time of the deal, he was listed as the No.17 prospect in the Pirates organization.

The Cup Series Heat races for tonight have been canceled.

Racing at North Wilkesboro is officially off for tonight due to rain. The Cars Tour All-Star events will be reschedule for later this year at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

Due to the NASCAR All-Star events, tonight's races could not be pushed to later this week.
