Video of SP Abdurrazak Hassan, Commander of the EOD Unit in Zamfara State, recorded just yesterday before he and his team embarked on an operation that would tragically become his last.
He was one of three police officers killed on Monday after their vehicle struck an IED planted by terrorists in Zamfara. The officers were conducting a routine patrol targeting armed groups along the Anka–Bagega axis when one of the police unit’s armoured personnel carriers ran over the IED buried by the terrorists.
All three fallen officers were trained Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) specialists attached to the Zamfara State Police Command.
According to reports, following the explosion, armed bandits emerged from the surrounding forest, torched the damaged armoured vehicle, and then retreated back into the bush.
Suspected gunmen attacked the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, near Jos, Plateau State, on Monday night, killing three security operatives in an apparent bid to breach the country’s premier policy think-tank.
The assault on the high-profile institution has raised fresh security concerns in the state.

LIST OF FALSE R@PE ACCUSERS;
1. @bola_aseyan she falsely accused dr olufunmilayo of r@pe in 2020. Her lies made national newspapers and almost ruined his life. He lost his job, became suicidal and was on antidepressants at a point. He was later vindicated in 2023 by the uk police and the uk medical council. Here’s a link to the document vindicating him https://t.co/npxjZNQT7j

Xenophobic and Afrophobic South Africans shut down a Nigerian man’s business in South Africa despite the fact that he had all the necessary legal documentation, paid taxes, employed 25 South Africans, and had lived in the country for 13 years.
I'm very tired right now, but I need to say this with a very heavy heart.
Earlier today, I read a report containing the names of all 136 Nigerian prison inmates involved in the Nigerian-Ethiopian Prisoner Transfer Agreement facilitated by the Honourable Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ma'am Bianca Ojukwu, and every single one of them is Igbo. I mean, every single one of them.
Is it just me, or is this extremely alarming? Does it mean that Igbos are the only Nigerians in Ethiopia?
Does it mean it is only Igbos that were in Ethiopian prisons? Were there no Yorubas, Hausas, Ijaws, Tivs, Efiks, Ibibios or people from other parts of Nigeria there?
How did we end up making up the entire list? What exactly are our young people doing in Ethiopia in such numbers that 136 names returned and all of them are from one ethnic group?
What does this say about us as a people? What are we not talking about? And why are we not having this difficult conversation in AlaIgbo?
