The Seattle Times editorial board has officially endorsed our campaign for State Senate.

Right now, I'm the only Republican endorsed by The Seattle Times. That tells you what this race is about. Families in Covington, Auburn, and Kent don't care about party labels. They care about whether the budget adds up, whether their commute gets better, and whether Olympia treats their hard-earned tax dollars with respect.

I told the editorial board that we expect our families to live within their means, and we should expect our government to do the same. In my six years on the council, we've made things work even when it was tough. We never spent beyond our means, we made the hard choices when we had to — and we're stronger for it.

I'm ready to bring that discipline to the State Senate.
