In eastern Tibet their population which was never that large is dropping. They'll clear out like the Manchu soldiers did in 1912, and for much the same reason: when their own people want freedom.

@ananthkrishnan Obviously he's not dead then but to jump from there to "no basis in fact" is too strong a claim to substantiate. Can't rule out some basis. For example, it's quite normal for someone returning from a short trip to India to suffer temporary gastrointestinal distress.
