Story time:
Animation for this season was so hard. How do we make Tracer "Talon" when you could also use that pose with any other skin? What even IS evil Tracer? We had the widest range of ideas for this whole season that took a surprising amount of lore debate before we started.

@XannnaGG I was not a skins producer, I was the animation producer. I know most people want the deets on skins, I don't have them 😅

@VERGUCO18 @Argxnile Yup, ex, I was laid off in January. Just wanted to share part of the process. And it wasn't just Tracer that was hard, it was all the animations BECAUSE it still needs to feel in character if you use it with other skins. It was a creative challenge that the team did.

@UMochi_ Animation concepts are basically a post-it note, maybe a .gif or reference video, and a "director approved" star if it's the idea we like. Waaaaaay less exciting than skin concepts!

@VERGUCO18 I mean for the animation content. We try to keep any Emotes, Victory Poses, or Highlight Intros true to the heroes: things Tracer does aren't things Widowmaker would do because they are different personalities. But for the Mirror Universe, suddenly everything was backwards!

@C1EMTYNE_ It's a lot of things: who got stuff last season, who's getting things the season after, what partnerships may be happening, who fits in a "set" with other skins, does the theme feel right for a hero, do we have an idea we LOVE. Its a very complicated network of details and data.

@RED0KT0BERFEST Is she no longer driven by compassion, but instead the drive for competition? With the other "Mirror" characters, what are their relationships within Talon? What was her role with Mandatta in this version? It was a really interesting ride for us to ask all these things!
