The weather appears to be going to change just in time for opening. It’s probably 7-10 days late on your calendar. Consider the following work has been completed in 25 days with an average temperature of 2.74 degrees, 9 rain days, 3 days of snow cover and an ice storm.
We waited patiently for our turn with @ZanderSod drill and fills. Not one complaint from staff, golf services staff or member volunteers on pulling the 12-8 pm shift. We have great staff and members!
Pizza for all for dinner.
Thanks to all for the extra effort!!
Staff are working hard under strange yellow orb in the sky this weekend. We aren’t sure what the orb is after the last several weeks but we sure like it
Reducing snow load on grades above putting surfaces and a few drainage swales. Completing ice checks in preparation for our next move. Winter is a chess game and I want to be Bobby Fisher!
2024 will mark the 125th anniversary of this fine golf club. In preparation for the the monument, the first tee trees are receiving a pruning. Planning doesn’t cost us anything but it can certainly save us some!
One step closer….. thanks @RSean98 and the Zander team. Green staff with help from Marty, will, Magic, Simon, Burt, Doc, Bono and DOUSER all worked hard to cross the finish line.
@fcSquires Followed closely by;
“Make sure the sprinkler heads are clean!”
“Don’t forget to clean the permanent markers”
And likely my personal favourite
“I want to eat off that fairway when your done!”
In addition to pulling cores on the last two fairways, the spring bunker clean out and sand depth checking is underway. New staff bunker training is also being completed. Our students have been helpful and done tremendous work during their winter break.
