@ManiKochar It could but needs some creative solutions to pitch time & space. Opportunities for unstructured safe play. We open our pitches 3 lunch times a week for free play but it has to be supervised. We get up to 50 kids there some days.

@JPR_25 Interesting comments on here. 9v9 3/4 pitch is a great format but fundamentally means less players playing than either 2 x 7 a side half pitch or 11 a side full pitch. So the debate is not fully about development but has a participation element to it. I’m torn between the two.

@ManiKochar @TheHockeyPaper My point is that I think currently most hockey fans are hockey players or people with an already established link to the game. Until the sport reaches outside the current hockey community I think this will be an issue.
