@barstoolWSD The offense is missing something so bad. I know you don’t care but you pointed out they have no one to shoulder the weight. They need a true right handed force.
1. Muncy knew he had him beat, should have slid.
2. Muncy went up with his hands after 1st base went up.
3. Normal contact would be rolling your shoulder after you see someone left their feet.
Max muncy might be a bad guy.
@CarlsBeef That 9th inning needs to be studied by baseball forever. Bad coaching, extreme luck on balls in play, somehow win. That was winning in spite of coaching with massive luck.
@shegone03 Out of curiosity, on a normal basis in today’s game, how many people have personal trainers that they work with on a regular basis during the season?
@Savy2Smooth Dansby has basically been the same offensive player his entire career. Once the defense is gone, it’s not even a question about how awful his contract is. Hayward, you just always felt like “maybe this is the year he gets back to it.”
@Brett_A_Taylor@obvious_shirts I agree with both of you. But, he hasn’t hit for a while now. Not a great spot to ask him to bunt. But you need some form a positive outcome from him. And it’s crippling to PH there for him. In that spot there is no ideal solution that doesn’t wreck some ego.
@ClaytonManningg A cap wouldn’t matter for about 6 teams in baseball as it stands. But I am against limiting player earning power completely. I have no use for dansby Swanson but someone decided his value was 177 million, so good for him.
People complaining about baseball salary cap:
They made a movie about it, it’s called moneyball. It exposed that every owner wants to win by spending the least amount of money possible.
The floor shows the max of what they want to spend to win.
Be mad at how your FO operates.
@PGHSportsLink No, their caps were put in place because their leagues financially were struggling (nba, nhl). Football got it because they were given a free agency.
@corpdevinvestin@TheTruthSwagner Yes the big bad Texas rangers really killed everyone in spending. And those Miami marlins teams were notorious for it. My gosh how dare I bring up the royals again. Or them giants teams known for their incredible spending habits. You hate your owner, not the team.
@JamesLarson47 Not my fault the owner of, gap, couldn’t find Pennie’s in his bank account to make the team better. Also remember he agreed to increase spending to 170.. so there’s that. You’re all mad at the wrong things.
@corpdevinvestin@TheTruthSwagner That’s just inherently low level thought ability. If you want to dig in the national’s are small market team, and the last 10 years have had 7 different winners. 6 in 9 if you exclude the Covid year. 26 winners since 1980.
@dylanxshort Which is why there’s far better solutions to impacting teams that over spend, than limit earning power of a player. Owners should be fighting owners, not the players. There’s a levity of ways to decrease over spenders, but the owners don’t want to push it.
@corpdevinvestin@TheTruthSwagner I mean, you brought it up, then insulted me, then got corrected. I personally want the dodgers to spend all the money in the world. Then have to deal with 37 year olds ranking in a 400mil roster a year. I think that’s an extreme interest.
@dylanxshort No, the dodgers have unlimited money, and always will, they beat a corrupt system that lets them operate in that market without real penalties (that all owners approved). That’s all fair. So owners should be fighting owners for harsher penalties, not players.
@corpdevinvestin@TheTruthSwagner Brewers have a top prospect in baseball. They won’t win because when the time comes, the owner won’t let them make moves that pushes them over that imaginary 170 line. Go ask how Freddie is doing.
@dylanxshort Are you made that nearly everyone on the dodgers have been injured this year? Or are you mad the organization always has a replacement waiting in the wing? Money doesn’t fix your ability to win. The dodgers are what they are because their system rejuvenates at a high pace.
