🙏🏾 A PRAYER FOR @RealCandaceO TODAY

Father God in the Name of Jesus,

Today I pray for Candace.

Not the commentator.
Not the public figure.
Not the woman people argue about online.

I pray for Candace the friend. Candace the woman. Candace the human being whose heart is hurting.

Because sometimes the deepest wounds don’t come from strangers.

They come from betrayal.

When you truly know someone—when you have shared friendship, trust, conversations, laughter, loyalty and love with them—you know the difference between what is genuine and what is manufactured.

And when you watch someone you loved and trusted be betrayed, minimized, misrepresented or abandoned after their death, there is a particular kind of grief that words cannot adequately describe.

And Father, I pray especially for Candace because she has continued to stand in the middle of that storm while carrying her own grief.

She loved her friend enough to ask questions.

She loved him enough to want the truth about who killed him, how it happened, and why.

And watching her be beaten down day after day for refusing to simply stop asking those questions has been heartbreaking.

Lord, strengthen her where she is weak.

Give her discernment when emotions are overwhelming.

Give her wisdom when people around her are confusing.

Give her peace when the noise becomes unbearable.

Give her courage when standing alone becomes exhausting.

And when betrayal hurts more than the original wound, remind her that You see everything.

Psalm 34:18 says:

“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”

Father, be near to her broken heart.

And just as David stood against Goliath when everyone else was afraid, give Candace the courage to stand against whatever giant is standing before her.

Let her remember that David did not need an army to know that God was with him.

And Father, if I can say one thing to Candace today:

You were indeed his David.

You were willing to stand when standing came with a price.

You were willing to ask questions when questions became uncomfortable.

You were willing to seek truth when silence would have been easier.

And whatever happens from here, may God protect your heart from becoming bitter.

Because there is a difference between forgiving someone and pretending they didn’t hurt you.

There is a difference between loving someone and allowing yourself to be destroyed by their betrayal.

And there is a difference between seeking truth and seeking revenge.

Lord, keep Candace on the side of truth.

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalm 27:1

When she feels surrounded, remind her that she is not alone.

When she feels misunderstood, remind her that she is known by You.

When she feels betrayed, remind her that You are faithful.

When she cries privately after being strong publicly, remind her that You collect every tear.

Psalm 56:8 says:

“Put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?”

Father, cover Candace.

Cover her mind.

Cover her heart.

Cover her children.

Cover her family.

Cover her marriage.

Cover her platform.

Cover her from people who wish her harm.

And most importantly, cover her spirit.

Don’t allow the cruelty of this season to change the woman You created her to be.

Let truth speak louder than accusations.

Let integrity speak louder than character assassination.

Let love outlast betrayal.

And let justice belong to You.

Romans 12:19 says:

“Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”

So Father, we release the things we cannot control into Your hands.

And we ask You to give Candace the strength to keep walking forward—not because the pain isn’t real, but because You are greater than the pain.
