has stranded me for 4 days at #DFW. They say there are no seats- unless I cough up $14,000 to upgrade to business class.

So, the emailed response from @Qantas customer care advises that I call reservations. Reservations says that there are no other seats available for 4 days- UNLESS- I upgrade to business.$$$

#Qantas is punishing me because I am not rich.

I've reached out to #Qantas customer service for help since the very first moment of the delay. At the time, they told me it would "be worked out upon arrival;"
Instead, my flight to Sydney took off while I sat on the runway, waiting to unload.

It's true, @Qantas prioritizes profits over people. I'm so sorry this has happened to folks and I fear how long it will take to reunite with my luggage- whenever/however I finally make it home to #Perth.

@DCist My flight delay yesterday meant that I missed my connecting @Qantas flight to Australia. They rebooked me for a flight 4 days later. Now, I'm stranded in Dallas Fort Worth. If anyone travels to Australia, may my story help you avoid similar experiences: Avoid #Qantas.

Don't do it! If you get #QantasStranded they'll try to extort $$$ from you instead of proritizing transporting you to your destination.

They just might rebook you for a flight 4 days later, with little interest in actually assisting you.

@section_117 @Qantas @JetstarAirways Prices in December & January are traditionally sky high, excuse the pun.
Later in January & February they go back to normal.
November I paid $1200 return Perth BKK, December $2000 & February around $900.

@Qantas I've done all that. Was told to fill out a complaint form.... that didn't work. And then I was blamed for it.
