@PranavSriraman I just don’t see how a guy like Miles Bridges is going to be impactful in a lineup with garbage spacing and no point guard. It’s stupid, it doesn’t even make sense.
@PranavSriraman I don’t even think their starting lineup makes sense. They’re still gonna be running Booker at point, and the three point shooting from the starting unit is kinda awful. Their best starting 3pt shooter is probably Booker, and he’s coming off a very bad (33%) 3pt shooting year.
@paydawg2@AusDawg316@JWeinbachNBA He’s a big but he’s not a 4. His offense doesn’t work at the 4 and his game is predicated on being in the paint to work for offensive rebounds. He’s unplayable next to a non-spacing center because he can’t shoot and is useless with the ball in his hands. Moussa is a center only.
@frionelpessista@DeeFromCLT_@J_Hooper_ Very good chance he’s never a 3pt shooter in the league. Luke Kornet attempted 162 threes his final year in college and didn’t attempt a single three this year on the Spurs. For reference, Kalkbrenner attempted only 61 threes in his final year at Creighton.
@DevotedBadger76@jeff_on_sports@Sloan15Jeff The Hornets’ starting center, Moussa Diabate, played only 11 games for the Clippers the year before he was signed by Charlotte. He had played the majority of his two prior years in the G League.
@DevotedBadger76@jeff_on_sports@Sloan15Jeff Plenty of good players have spent their first season in the G League. Charlotte has a lot of wings and Liam’s a little too raw to play over any of them. He was drafted ahead of Sion James and yet early in the season it was clear that Sion was going to play over him. It’s fine.
@BiasedSlightly@OwenOConnorNBA The way you say it makes it seem like he came back from injury and was immediately dominant, but he wasn't at all. He was terrible in March (<50% TS on the month). He played an entire month of inefficient basketball before finally having two monster scoring performances.
@AnOnPenName@OG_BENJAYLATREZ I was referencing Lamelo in the context that he does not do this. He shoots the most one-legged threes in the league and I’m not sure that I’ve seen him shoot a runner like this even once this year. I know that Wemby does a few of these but I still don’t think it’s a good move.
@OG_BENJAYLATREZ Doing a one-legged runner off a screen is dumb when you could just stop and shoot it normally, and the guy fighting around the screen is also more likely to commit a shooting foul if you aren't doing a runner.
@OG_BENJAYLATREZ I don't even think doing it like this is good? Obviously a one-legged three isn't usually the best play, but I feel like a one-legged runner three is even dumber. Most of Lamelo's one-legged threes are on step backs or some sort of fadeaway shot.
