I wonder how many people attacking Queen Best have ever lost a son, let alone a son who was also a King, with a succession dispute starting before his body was even laid to rest.
If she had brought the grandson, you’d say she was rushing to install another king because she’s hungry for power. She says let me first mourn my son, and now you’re demanding to know why she didn’t bring him.
You want the child, you want the mother, you want explanations, photographs, timelines and proof. But not once do you ask yourselves how you would handle this if it were your own family. Question the succession all you want but stop acting as though losing a son becomes easier because he wore a crown, or that being a Queen Mother means she stopped being a mother.
