@brivael With most of the companies /inventions you listed. The govt from local to federal has allowed and encouraged those companies to prosper with contracts or incentives like tax credits/ breaks, consumer incentives, last mile delivery, computing contracts, grants, and loans.
@DogggDad@GovernorShapiro To be fair they have already replaced almost all cashiers with self checkouts and kiosks. I went to a Taco Bell recently and the drive thru was an AI voice assistant. Many places are already paying over 15 because once one company pays it every one has to.
@JenMsft I do put in sleep if it is not running anything. 6 pm to 7am is 13 hours, power is about $ .21 per kw, my pc setup uses probably 150watts or .15kw per hour. So 13 hours per day x .15kw =1.95 kw per day x $.21 = $.4095 per day x365 days = $149.47 savings per year if I turn it off
@ancientpriest@RpsAgainstTrump By trading both countries benefit. You can have redundant supply chains or have specialization. Example a farmer who grows corn can trade with the one that raises cattle. Corn farmer can optimize for corn production and the cattle one can focus on cattle and have greater yields.
@mikemac1576@nina1174@realDonaldTrump They are not, they can probably buy from suppliers that are farther away if the shipping cost is less than 25 percent tariff.
@andQuriouser@realDonaldTrump Our prices will go up till we find a substitute for the good. Many cars and trucks are made in Mexico and Canada so those will be 25 percent more now. Canadians can probably get their oranges and fruit from another country so that will hurt the US growers too.
@ttayehh24@america Thinking about this... If you are a President of the US, you are pretty much always working from home (White House) or working remotely (Alternative White House) right?
