@niersgestalt Mega Man Legends is a top notch PS1 example. They apparently made unique face textures for cutscenes so that expressions looked right from various angles. It must have been a lot of effort, but it paid off - aesthetically the game has aged really well.
@VT_OliviaMonroe I used to get quite anxious when I went to bed. When that happened, I would count to 100 and back over and over in my head. Just something simple that required enough concentration to take my mind off things. It seemed to help.
@zuzumizuchi I think it's 'cos Palworld's success became a stick to beat Pokemon fans with, but it shares far more DNA with Minecraft, Valheim, etc.
I played it and didn't think it was better than any of the games it tries to be like. It's not what I would want from a Pokemon game, either.
@zuzumizuchi I think some of it is over-compensation? There's a lot of people that really enjoy shitting on the games and it makes some fans extra defensive.
Personally I prefer the classics, but I still enjoyed the modern Pokemon games. There's plenty I'd like them to improve on, though.
@ArypieVirtual No problem! I had to step away from social media for a while due to anxiety, so I can empathise with not wanting to feel like you need it to succeed.
Hopefully you can figure out a way to make things more enjoyable for yourself, even if that means you end up using it less.
@zuzumizuchi Reading comprehension and critical thinking feel like rare skills these days. People just kinda react without actually processing what they're responding to.
For what it's worth, I thought your point was pretty clear and I agree, trying to police people's free time is stupid.
@babypinkvtuber It's not just Vtubers, but long playthroughs are tough 'cos they often don't retain or gain viewership.
People lose interest over time and new viewers don't want to join halfway through (especially in story heavy games).
They can be hard to fit into variety schedules, too.
@YoshioVT Whatever mic you have, it's important to set it up properly.
Filters, EQ and mic placement can go a long way for budget mics, while very expensive equipment can be disappointing (or even just bad) if you don't set it up right. There's lots of guides out there if you need them!
@RemyTheRedVT It seems premature to spend a ton on your set-up before you know you'll enjoy streaming enough to keep doing it, even through the harder parts.
Unfortunately there's perhaps an impression that you need lots of hype and high production values to even begin vtubing these days.
