Mourinho said “nobody is untouchable.” Fine. That’s the Special One’s brand. But the timing, the target, and the history make it land like a cheap shot.

Arda Güler is 21. He is not the reason Fenerbahçe didn’t become a European machine. He is not the reason past projects stalled. He left Turkey as a kid with a wand for a left foot and walked into the most ruthless dressing room in football. Ancelotti barely trusted him with minutes. Madrid still kept him.

Then Mourinho arrives, praises the vision, the decision-making, the “top top” quality… and when the first awkward question comes after a substitution, it’s “nobody is essential.”That’s not honesty. That’s deflection wearing a tracksuit.

Henry’s point is the one that actually matters; stop making the young player pay for someone else’s scars. Keep asking Mourinho the same loaded question and eventually he gets tired of it. Tired coaches sell or sideline, tired clubs lose the player who could have been theirs for a decade.

Barcelona don’t treat Pedri or Lamine like a press-conference prop. They give them the ball, the minutes, and the protection. Madrid have the talent. They don’t always have the patience.

Arda’s gift is obvious to anyone who watches without an agenda. The weight of pass. The calm in the pocket. The ability to turn a chaotic midfield into a corridor. You don’t “protect him at all costs” because he’s fragile. You protect him because clubs that waste that kind of player usually spend the next five years watching him cook them from another shirt.

Mourinho can say nobody is untouchable. History already answered him. The players who survive him are the ones the club refuses to let become the story. Arda shouldn’t be the story.

The football should.Protect the kid or watch another club treat him like the future instead of a debate. That’s the whole argument.

Arda Güler was the only Real Madrid player who truly impressed in today’s match. In the first half, he created several dangerous chances, but Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé failed to convert them. Once Güler was substituted in the second half, Real Madrid’s attacking threat disappeared almost completely. That alone shows how important he has become to this team.

José Mourinho must do everything possible to make sure this young talent is a regular starter. Whenever Güler is on the pitch, Real Madrid look more creative, more fluid, and far more unpredictable in attack. He brings vision, intelligence, and technical quality that few players in the squad can match.

Camavinga, on the other hand, had a disappointing performance. He struggled to influence the game positively and picked up another yellow card, something that has unfortunately become a recurring issue in his game. His aggression is useful at times, but it often comes at a cost.

For a long time now, the midfield combinations involving Valverde, Camavinga, Bellingham, and even Tchouaméni have not produced the level of fluid football Real Madrid fans expect. While they offer energy, physicality, and defensive stability, their partnership can often make the team’s play look rigid and predictable.

Arda Güler changes that dynamic. He is the player who adds creativity, rhythm, and smooth transitions between midfield and attack. Real Madrid look far more dangerous when he is involved because he constantly looks for progressive passes and attacking solutions.

Mourinho should take note. If Real Madrid want to play attractive, fluid, and chance-creating football, Arda Güler deserves to be one of the first names on the team sheet.
