@WakeYAT organized & facilitated Day 1 of the 8th Grade Leadership Summit today. Over 120 future GMS leaders rotated through workshops on leadership, being a good role model, embracing diversity, communication skills, and team-building. #DoTheRightThing

Youth Action Team utilized this rainy day for our annual Sticker Shock campaign, placing over 1,000 stickers at Wakefield liquor stores. A great compliment to their pizza box campaign, reminding everyone that most Wakefield teens don't drink.
We’re hearing local & national stories w/ young people dying or OD'ing from purchasing counterfeit pills, often via Snapchat. Recently the Lynn PD seized what appeared to be counterfeit Adderall pills, Tru-Narc analysis confirmed contain FETANYL, and METHAMPHETAMINE. #talkoften
Wakefield once again participated in National DEA Rx Take Back Day. We had a steady stream of traffic today & turned in 3 boxes of unused prescriptions & over the counter medications totaling 92.2 pounds! Special thanks to Sgt. McCall @WakefieldPD for taking the lead.
