We have a pride flag on our porch and my dad has a pride tie he wears a couple times during pride month. I’m so unbelievably lucky to have parents who respect me and my sexuality. My mom has even remarked several times she hopes I marry a woman and not a man 😭

I was in my car with my parents as my dad drove through a rich neighborhood and remarked, “man, I gotta marry a rich guy so I can have a house like that. Or a rich woman, I don’t mind either way.” Both my parents laughed and two years later they got me a pride shirt
