@TheHiddenOneAC What’s funny is that in the canon novelization, she’s far weaker than most of the protagonists. They just chose to make her overpowered in the game for some reason.
Assassin's Creed's current modern day plot is not working. I do not know a single person who's invested in this plot so far and as someone who has read every single file in both AC Shadows and Black Flag Resynces alongside all the rifts, the writing so far has been incredibly uninteresting and poor. The current 2096 animus EGO storyline needs to go.
Modern Day in Assassin's Creed was in a strange limbo for years after Desmond up until the Layla story during Origins-Odyssey-Valhalla which was a genuinely exciting breath of fresh air and it really felt like in Valhalla, Ubisoft had finally figured out an exciting path forward for the franchise. The ending of Valhalla's modern day, setting up this Basim plotline was genuinely awesome and I was excited to see where it goes.
Of course, Ubisoft abandoned it. In its place is this live service animus hub storyline that has entirely failed to grab anyone's attention. There is just nothing going on here, there are no characters, no events, no real plot. It's just this animus war against an evil abstergo AI. It has entirely failed to capture the original adventure tone of the Desmond games, or the mystery of the Layla storyline, and instead settled in this awkward spot where it feels like Ubisoft desparately wants to remove modern day from the franchise and landed on the most ignore-able plot possible instead in an attempt to satisfy the fan base while basically removing modern day.
I think this plot needs to be abandoned. No one is invested, no one wants this. Ubisoft needs to decide either to keep modern day and actually invest proper work into it, continuing the Basim plotline from Valhalla. or to simply let go and remove modern day for good. This awkward middle spot they've landed on where modern day is just a front for live service content is for no one.
At this point, Ubisoft should just retcon Shadows’ (& Black Flag resynced) modern day and make it non-canon. They have MANY modern day plot lines that they need to complete…especially Basim’s. Getting rid of William Miles, Shaun, Rebecca, etc. is a TERRIBLE decision.
Well. I don't know if this is considered leak since it's on youtube posted by a Youtuber (watermark in the pictures) that actually played the game, but it looks like the Modern Day now is taking place in 2096, maybe I'm late to the party but I believe it has gone unnoticed a little bit.
It looks like I almost got it right predicting the date in my Shadows analysis articles back in the day (2050's was my conclusion).

@assassinscreed Honestly this is an amazing update but the outfit/cloth physics look like they’re still rendered at 30 fps. It’s kind of off putting with some outfits
@TheHiddenOneAC Honestly it’s comes to Ezio and Connor’s skills vs Basim’s and Eivor’s. Desmond might have Altair’s skills but that’s debated by a lot of people.
