Sold a Laptop to someone through the recommendation of a customer who had previously bought a TV from me.

The guy received the laptop and was just being unnecessarily difficult. I could have gone to war with him if he patronized me directly but he kept insulting and making life difficult for the customer who recommended me and for the sake of that customer and his integrity, I had to refund the FULL N800k the guy paid even when the laptop has been with him for a month and he has eaten my snacks.😤

The guy did no wrong by recommending me. He should not be going through all that disrespect for a kind gesture that he did not even benefit anything from.

Like you rightly said, RECOMMENDATION IS NOT YOUR RIGHT. Vendors should be nicer and more careful with customers that came through recommendations. Its no longer just about you the vendor but about the integrity of the person who was kind enough to give you that through pass.

One thing I've discovered recently is that some poultry farmers don't actually know where most of the day-old chicks they buy come from.

If you've ever bought broilers, Noilers, layers, turkeys, guinea fowl, or even seen your neighbor stock birds.there's a good chance those chicks passed through IBADAN.

Many people assume chicks are produced in every state.

Not really.

The truth is that most of Nigeria's major hatcheries are located in and around Ibadan.

And even when some chicks are hatched elsewhere, they are often brought into Ibadan before being distributed nationwide.

So on market days (Mondays & Thursdays), this is what happens behind the scenes.

Thousands upon thousands of chicks are sorted, counted, packaged, and prepared for transport.

From here, they are handed over to these drivers who load them for delivery across Nigeria.

Whether you're in Benue, Rivers, Kaduna, Enugu, Delta, Plateau, Abuja, Kano, or many other locations, chances are the chicks heading to your state started their journey from Ibadan.

The picture below show part of that process.

This is not a small market.

It is a massive industry moving millions of chicks across the country every year.

Most farmers only see the chicks when they arrive at the collection point closest to them.

Very few get to see what happens before then.

Now you know.

And this is one reason I always tell farmers:

Success in poultry starts long before the birds arrive at your farm.

It starts with where you buy from.

It starts with the quality of the chicks.

It starts with having the right information.
