March 23: Delayed strikes for 5 days citing "productive conversations" with Iran (Iran denied talks)

March 26: Further delayed the deadline for attacks on Iranian electrical/energy facilities to April 6, saying talks were progressing "very well" (Iran again actively denying talks)

April 5: Extended the deadline again to April 7

April 7: Warned "a whole civilization will die tonight." Hours later announced 2-week ceasefire mediated by Pakistan

April 21: Said he expected "to be bombing" if talks failed. Later indefinitely extended the ceasefire after Pakistani appeals

May 5: Paused "Project Freedom" US operation to escort ships through Hormuz, citing "great progress" toward a deal (Iran denied to have made progress)

May 17: Warned "the Clock is Ticking"

May 18: Paused planned strikes after requests from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE

June 11: Said the US would hit Iran "VERY HARD TONIGHT" and threatened Iran's oil/gas sectors including Kharg Island. Hours later canceled the whole operation, saying a deal was near

July 25-27: Ordered a halt to new strikes and paused ~13 days of intense daily US strikes to give negotiations another chance, while reports came in of major shortages of interceptor missiles. (Iran also denied to have asked for new negotiations)

August 1: Said the US was "locked and loaded" at levels "not seen since World War II." Later canceled the planned massive attack, claiming Iran wants a deal (Iran denies wanting a deal and denies any negotiations with the US)

August 4: Set new deadline giving Iran until end of Tuesday (today) to finalize a Strait of Hormuz agreement with Oman or face "devastating air strikes" before "decapitation"

We will likely see the same pattern today.
