School has only been in session for 5 days & we’ve already had 2 walks to gather pictures for Oldest’s biology class. I think I’m going to enjoy some of this year’s classes!

#walkthemom is always better when you can talk to a friend about video games!
After our walk I ask Oldest about his biology picture list. Clearly he & B should have stayed with us as they need fungus and a few other items K found on our walk.

After a handful of 12 hour days in the office the last few weeks, a much needed solo #walkthemom today.
Kiddos are back in school, so now to figure out our adventures!
Looking to try a new TP for your bum???
The more people we're able to reach, the more toilets we're able to build. Give friends $10 off their first order, and you'll get $10 off your next order when they make a purchase. We call that good friend karma.

When quarantine began in March, my walking pace with Tallest was closer to a 20 minute mile. Through our #walkthemom adventures my pace has picked up to just under 16 minutes these last two weeks.
My hiking pace is slower to match the trails we’re on, but not an hour per mile.
@Financialplgrm So often it’s said after daycare they become less expensive. Not true. However, they are so much more fun to interact with!
Plus, they treat me to lunch every now and then. Only a million years until they fully pay me back. 😂😂😂
Apparently Oldest needs pictures of wildlife for his biology class. He can’t use mine as he needs something in it confirming he took them. He needs 15 pictures. Clearly he was paying attention in May when he received the assignment! 🤣🤣🤣

@retirein1500 Our district made the requirement by grade knowing that kids have birthdays and classrooms would be split. They didn’t want to cause issues for teachers. Part of the decision for fourth grade is based on local data & the comprehension of the students to keep the mask on.
Tallest: It’s going to rain.
Tallest, 5 hours later: See, told you.
Me, an hour later: Let’s go for a walk!
20 minutes in, it starts raining. We keep walking as a little rain doesn’t hurt anyone. The next 30 minutes I receive a lecture on acid rain.
Gotta love him! 💙💙💙
Vacation day! Hiking day!
Tallest asked if we could do this hike on a weekly basis to see if we can get faster. Absolutely! Although, I think his reasoning is that it is close to home & he’ll be able to get on the Xbox sooner. 😂😂😂

I LOVE my new shirts! Kristin, of Little Bear Boutique, took an idea I sent her & created these custom shirts. I appreciate that she mocked up a few designs so that the boys could have input. She also went the extra mile to research their school colors!

Oldest has been providing me with a great education regarding deer. I’ve learned that when I’m this close not to move. Let the deer continue to walk away. My concern is that the deer at the park are getting closer & closer to me with each walk I take.

Tonight’s #walkthemom brought to you by our Board of Education meeting. Thank you @FoxC6Schools for live streaming this discussion while I multitasked!
I appreciate the openness of our administration on the state of the district.
Tomorrow, August 5, will be free fee day at our #NationalParks for the Great American Outdoors Act Commemoration.
Wishing I didn’t have meetings all day, but we can plan for next year!
