@biancoresearch@katie_martin_fx Why not take it seriously AND literally after all thats happened in last 4 weeks?
And how do you hedge a 100yr zero coupon bond?!
@PolemicTMM I provide you the data on an incredibly small site in Australia that you were trying to use to make a large generalized point. And you suggest I am the one ignoring statistically relevant data. Righto.
@JohnMuchow Can you please tell me how you measure the gap up? I got MNDY close on Friday at 258.24 and an open yesterday at 315.11, so a gap of 22% rather than 29%.
@Frencheconomics No reason all the things you listed shouldn’t have been done in 2010/14. Rather than go through another round of ‘efficiency’ now we should be figuring out how to invest. Cutting is easy, building and investing wisely is not.
@John_Stepek@Argonautcapital And with wonderful timing an Aussie activist shareholder is trying to encourage Glencore to move its primary listing, citing one of the reasons that the co’s drive to lower carbon emissions will be better recognized outside Europe. Dam ESG.
@John_Stepek@Argonautcapital Well I don’t know when you want to say it kicked off, but that’s when company’s appear to have started talking about it.
If it was a big mgmt/shareholder priority, or was maybe impacting co profitability, maybe it would have gotten a bit of a mention before then? 😉
@Frances_Coppola@westerby1 Ok, that could be a valid criticism.
But the tweet that I replied to contained completely generic info apparently from the ONS that did not specify the proportions of each group either.
