This is your quarterly reminder that I do social media, graphic design, marketing, etc if anyone in our sphere needs help and wants to hire someone in our sphere. Love helping people with their businesses and in turn helping the causes we care about and good families ๐ค
@EveKeneinan It's also not something that you can do eugenic selection to eliminate either. Downs is a genetic copy error, not a heritable trait.
You *could* just abort every child who showed signs, but it wouldn't be eugenic, just bloody.
You ever try to get 4 hours of sleep before work only to have fitful dreams about having found your real purpose, wake up an hour before your alarm, and then feel less tired than you have in weeks?
While the exact value of a level has changed across editions, in most settings being level 1 meant you were a cut above peasantry regardless of individual background. In just as many, reaching level 5-6 meant you were the most capable person (in your way) any given person would be likely to meet.
Being that powerful(and by extension, that famous) should have major ramifications to how your campaign is role-played, either because you have to deal with being that well-known(and potentially dangerous) or because you have to be going out of your way to*not* be so well known (traveling long distances, living out in the wilderness, tackling obscure threats). A lot of campaigns have this lackadaisical attitude where they think a party with a CR of 6 is common enough to not raise eyebrows when it rolls into town and it bugs me.
Yeah, and that's something the GM needs to be challenging them on. "You said this guy is really good at fighting and these specific things. Where'd he learn how to talk fancy to people, and how does that help him come up with a strategy to defeat the orc horde that's attacking the city?"
@cirsova@DracoWrites7 When the survivors of your sect adopt strict pacifism just to keep everyone else from assuming you're going to pull a fanatical cult takeover, you know you've fucked up.
My late husband @Totalbiscuit being mentioned in a monetized lazy listicle video by @WatchMojo called "10 YouTubers Who Made Videos When They Knew They Were Dying" is tasteless enough. Plugging their AI slop music project in it as well? Unforgiveable. You should be ashamed.
