@helgedrews @kvlly I found this out a few years ago when Chrome seemed to render based on the z-index regardless of the parent but the same was not true in IE which adhered strictly to the stacking context. Once I figured this out and adjusted it accordingly it rendered correctly in both browsers.

@kvlly Yeah, some alt text would have been nice at least unless your email client doesn't display that either. Recently changes to our Outlook settings at work override the alt text on all images with a message telling you how to download the images - makes no sense.
