A Sound of Thunder. Rapidograph. 8.5 x 11. 1965.
An illustration from Ray Bradbury's short story, A Sound of Thunder. I was a big Bradbury fan back in the day and still am. So I was inspired to do a drawing of one of his well known stories.
The Battle of Muspelheim.
Fudenosuke Brush Pens, and a little ProWhite here and there. 61.5 x 41.75. 2025. This is likely the final post for this piece. I was able to get a scan of the entire drawing. I had to down res it in order for it to post. So we'll see it comes out.
Thor on Bifrost with Asgard in the background. Brush, Hunt 102 crow quill, India ink, Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pens and Pentel Presto Jumbo Correction Pen. 11 x 17. 2025. Drawing to help raise money for Reese Nathan, Marc and Shelly Nathan's son, of the Baltimore Comic Con.
Reese has Crohn's disease pretty badly and there's a GoFundMe up for him. I'm hoping that auctioning this drawing will also help raise a few bucks for his care. Exactly how it'll be sold is up to Marc & Shelly so when I know, I'll post about it.

An illustration from By the Waters of Babylon, a short story by Stephen Vincent Benét. Rapidograph. 8.5 x 11. 1965. It's a post-apocalypse tale about a young man’s exploration of a ruined city of gods and his confrontation with one of inhabitants. The drawing depicts that god.
...sitting as the young man found him in a dusty room in a tall building. One of my first really finished drawings. Also the first drawing I ever sold. :-)
The Battle of Muspelheim, lower left corner. Fudenosuke Brush Pen hard tip. 2025.
I finished the Big Drawing yesterday afternoon by signing it. The date's a little unusual for me as I've never posted the starting and finishing dates of a drawing before. Glad it's done.
Finally unearthed tonight months after our move. The ink bottle holder my Dad made for me very early in my career, possibly when I was still at RISD. I couldn't be more delighted!! :-D
