Arsenal released him at 13 & Fulham at 16. He stacked shelves at Tesco just to survive
Now he's become Arsenal's 3rd most expensive signing EVER
Ebereche Eze is coming home
I analyzed his data to see if he's worth the hype. Here's what I found out
๐งตMEGATHREAD
My starting 11 for Everton:
๐ธ๏ธEveryone pick themselves. The only 2 positions up for contention were CF and CM
๐ธ๏ธIm gonna go with Merino up top because Everton are gonna set up in a nasty low block which means our chance creation down the center will be limited. So expect a lot more crosses and no player apart from Gabriel attacks crosses in our side better than Merino.
That said, Arteta is most likely just going to stick with Kai (which is also not a bad shout if he can go back to playing how he was at tje start of the season)
Gyok is definitely much more suited as a finisher in this game (60' sub)
๐ธ๏ธGuimaraes also continues. There's no reason for him to be benched. He's in a good place, building up momentum and forming new connections. We might also need his outside the box shots as an added threat against this low block
If Rice stays, be is most definitely retiring with a bigger legacy than Patrick Vieira and the best MF to have played for Arsenal, also probably England
Iโm gonna say something crazy, but I canโt hold it in me much longer and I need to be honest with myself and all of you.
Declan Rice > Patrick Vieira
Iโm not sorry.
๐จ๐ฎ Yan Diomande is a Superstar
He's playing as a RW in this comp which isn't even his primary position and he already looks one of the best in the business
His explosive power over the first 5 yards & his dribbling are obviously the standout qualities but I want you to focus on two other things
1) The staple through pass with the outside of his foot. Highlights his technique + the capacity to rely on more than just his carrying/dribbling
A lot of young players rely too much on the attributes they're already good at which can become a thorn in their development (example Nwaneri - turn & shoot)
2) The quick shuffle he does in tight spaces. For example the goal in this comp
This is a monster in the making. Only 18 years old right now but can start for many CL sides
In terms of profile, he is like a slightly rawer version of Nico Williams. Might have even better PnP & Ballstriking combo than the Spaniard
Diomande is going straight to the top. Arsenal, Barca, Liverpool should all be keeping a close eye on him this season
๐จ๐ฒ Nagida reminds me of Saka's breakthrough season as a LWB
Elite tech combined with high level of football intelligence and physical ability. The touch from GK's long ball at 00:17 where he feints outside but receives on the spot will tell you everything you need to know
This is a mini Nuno Mendes, a potentially world class. And even though Arsenal dont need a new LB I'd sign him this January purely to prevent another top club getting their hands on him (shouldn't cost more than 30 mil if we move fast)
Loan him for the next 6-18 months (depending on the evolution of our squad) and we'll have a readymade starter for our 1st team. He'll make movies with someone like Eze or Nusa on the LW (any winger that loves to go inside basically)
The real opportunity is for this guy. We all know Madueke's level and its unlikely going to change. Top rotation piece for an elite is his ceiling
Think back to how Saka became a 1st team regular? It was injuries to the senior players. Once in the team, Bukayo never looked back
Now its Dowman's time to do the same
This is why Arsenal added Noni Madueke - The Saka injury presents an opportunity for the frustrating winger to show that he can provide an impact https://t.co/klwgdcc6Ga
@CoachJulesAA Whats wrong with that? Our MF and attack unit is much more likely to gain territory that way. If we had Pedri, Vitinha, Ruiz, Rodri, etc then we sure would've taken a different approach
Half the Arsenal fanbase is secure and persistent with their hatred for Gyok, they've convinced themselves this wasn't an assist rather a ball that automatically "bounced" off him perfectly into Rice's path
